A few months ago, I started noticing that, despite this less-than-awesome economy, the Made in Oregon stores are really doing well with our products! I thought to myself, ” Wow! I should see what else I can do for them!” and contacted their buyer, Jack.
.
Now there are all kinds of buyers, some just get the job done and others try to make it a fun experience. Jack, one of the buyers from the Made in Oregon stores, falls into the second category.
I approached Jack and suggested that I make a line of products that would be exclusive to them.
After all, we have some pretty cool motifs out here in Oregon. We settled on four of them: the Oregon Fir Tree, the Chinook Salmon, the Western Meadowlark, and the Trillium (pictured).
Starting with these 4 motifs, I developed a line of products that will be heading up to Made in Oregon this week!
It has taken me all summer to pull this together so I am pretty excited to get these products on their way. They will be available at 7 different Made in Oregon locations, on their website, and in their Holiday Catalogue.
Jack has told me that their busiest location is Concourse C in the Portland airport. This location is to rescue travelers who – after going through security – say to themselves – “Oh, no! I forgot to get a gift for our amazing neighbor who was stuck at home feeding our cats, and getting our mail, and watering our plants, while we got to tour the gorgeous Pacific Northwest. Whatever shall we bring her?”
Bingo! They can stop at the Made in Oregon store and pick up a lovely Pewter Gift! We hope that this new Collection will be a great success and that we will rescue many travelers by offering them the perfect gifts to bring home!
